I am an Associate Professor of Philosophy at University of the Pacific. My main area of teaching and research is philosophy of mind from an interdisciplinary perspective. Many of my publications, including my first book, are on the nature of visual perception. In 2016, I co-authored the first code of ethics for virtual reality, which has recieved international media attention. My current interest is in the role of technology in human cognition.
